  • "My wife and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary so we booked the James room for 6 days at the CC BnB. We've never been to williamsburg so we appreciated Kathryn taking the time to answer all our questions and provide us with a slew of dinner restaurant recommendations. We found the BnB to be very quant, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and always fresh. Kathryn also went out of her way to prepare food that met my wife's dietary needs as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay here again if we return. Thank you, Kathryn !!!"

  • "Five stars is simply not enough to describe Kathryn's BNB, I would give her 20 if it was allowed. This is a true Bed and Breakfast with a gourmet home-cooked breakfast - Waffles/Eggs/Sausage/Compote the first day and an excellent Frittata/Almond crossiant the second day, coffee & juice + yogurt and granola I did not get to - served in a dining room on real plates with a full place setting. The century old house is tastefully decorated and clean as a whistle. A level 1/2 mile walk across from William & Mary University to Colonial Williamsburg. Kathryn was friendly, pleasant, & attentive. This is truly a gem and not to be missed if you are traveling to Williamsburg."

  • "The Colonial Capital B&B is located across the street from William and Mary College in an area with unique restaurants serving not only colonial fare but also delicious tapas and other creative cuisines. The Colonial Capital is within walking distance to the Colonial Williamsburg village. The owner, Kathryn, is a super hostess! Her breakfasts were delicious, varied, and plentiful and she offers discounted tickets to the CW village. The home was well appointed and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our time at the Colonial Capital B&B!"

  • "Where to start? Clear communication? Friendly and helpful hostess & staff? Incredible breakfasts? Comfy bed? Lovely home, filled with light and plants? This place has it all - walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg, great off-street parking, comfortable room, and the shared common areas are spacious and inviting. The breakfast part of our experience was superlative, above and beyond! I'd expect pastry and yogurt, but three kinds of granola? Home made waffles and butter almond rolls? Frittatas stuffed with veggies, and a grits casserole to die for. I would stay here for the breakfasts alone, but the rest of our stay was glorious. Kathryn provides snacks and beverages, so even though we arrived after hours, we found chocolate, hot tea and biscuits. The absolute icing on the cake were our lovely housemates in the other rooms. We had a perfect three days, thank you!"
